Research Scientist, Preclinical Sciences

The Research Scientist I will work within the Preclinical Sciences Department to contribute to projects from the portfolio for development of new in vivo models, plan and execute experiments, and present results.
•Manage work flow to assure timely reporting of data to the project team or supervisor
•Establish in vivo disease models with natural history studies
•Perform in vivo PK/PD, MOA and efficacy testing in both wild type and disease models
•Collaborate closely with Research and the project teams to advance portfolio programs
•Serve as internal expert for assigned area of disease research
•Participate in the identification and triage of new therapeutic target opportunities
•Maintain records in electronic notebooks in accordance with the ELN policy
•Contribute to/write ‘Technical Reports’ in support of IND applications
•The Research Scientist I should have 0 – 2 years of relevant industrial/postdoctoral experience
•Experience with in vivo modeling and manipulations
•A track record of successfully delivering high quality peer-reviewed results
•Ability to drive aggressive timelines
•Bibliography consistent with high quality seminal research
•Good oral and written communication skills
•Ph.D.or equivalent degree in Biology, Pathology, or related discipline, with 0 – 2 years of relevant postdoctoral or industrial experience
