Position Summary
Position Overview: Sr. Manager, Forecasting is a member of the commercial team that partners closely with Marketing Brand Directors, Finance and Market Research teams. Responsible for working with these support resources to complete standard forecast deliverables, deliver high quality solutions and answer ad hoc requests and questions. Serves as an internal consultant to senior leadership by providing analytic guidance and helping brand teams make informed strategic decisions and choices.
Duties:
- Develop forecasts for all portfolio products based on sound assumptions; present recommendations to stakeholders within the organization
- Provide unbiased point of view on market/brands; supported by facts and evidence
- Translate results of primary research and other insight-oriented data sources into forecast assumptions
- Design and develop market research forecast studies
- Analyze secondary data in support of the development of forecast assumptions
- Provide explanation of variance to forecast; combining secondary data and general business insights
- Develop and deliver clear, concise presentations synthesizing disparate data (market research, secondary data, etc.); demonstrates deep understanding of market dynamics, competition and brand
- Lead and provide actionable insights, intelligence and recommendations to senior leadership, brand leadership and other stakeholders relative to market and competitive forces and threats
- Develop comprehensive and predictive market and competitive landscape assessments based on thorough analysis of internal and external business issues; using accepted analytical methodologies insure intelligence integration and deliverables into brand planning, forecasting, managed markets and strategic decision making

Requirements:
- Market Research/Forecasting experience in the pharmaceutical industry; 5+ years
- BA required, Masters preferred and/or equivalent work experience
- Extensive knowledge and use of primary research and secondary data
- Strong grasp of individual analytic discipline (forecasting, market research, marketing science)
- Demonstrated ability to connect analytics with overarching business questions; understanding the link between brand strategy and analytic insights
- Manage ambiguity; question data and/or stakeholders for additional nuanced information
- Can think about a problem in new ways in order to provide effective solution
- Can defend a position when necessary using forecast assumptions; can negotiate persuasively
- Ability to apply knowledge of managed care and how it affects brand forecast
- Will make a continuous commitment to the quality control process; meet or exceed standards
- Is a proactive self-starter who can lead, work independently, prioritize work; ability to see the next step and take action
- Has excellent organizational and time management skills
- Has advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access
Compensation:
Base Salary $165k-180k + 15%bonus. Generous relocation package offered
